Bankruptcy and Litigation Paralegal

Vannova Legal is seeking an experienced customer-service oriented paralegal. Responsibilities include:

• Client coordination by phone and in person
• Client intake
• Petition and schedule review and filing
• Coordination of Chapter 13 Plans
• Litigation support
• Case management, including docketing and calendaring

Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy expertise is essential. Experience with Chapter 11 bankruptcy, collections and real estate law is desirable. Must be detail-oriented.

Skill Requirements:

• Proficient in Best Case and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experience managing a large case load
• Ability to maintain confidential legal files
• Ability to proofread
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Legal Accountant

Vannova Legal is growing and seeking a team player with accounting experience in a law firm setting. Individual must have a strong understanding of job costing. Position includes support of fee applications in bankruptcy court for Utah and Arizona.

• Payroll
• Accounts payable
• Bank reconciliations
• Balance sheet account reconciliations
• Billing, including fee applications for submission to the court
• Management of ACH and recurring credit card payments
• Processing of fee applications with bankruptcy court

Skill Requirements:

• Expertise with Excel and Microsoft Office products
• Experience with Quickbooks Enterprise
• Strong job cost knowledge
• Organized problem solver
• Law firm experience preferred
