Paul Toscano, Of Counsel
As a former Judicial Clerk for the Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Utah, attorney Paul Toscano has been helping Salt Lake City residents with bankruptcy matters for nearly 35 years. In addition to his stint with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Paul has also served as a Chapter 7 panel trustee, a Chapter 13 standing trustee and a Chapter 12 trustee. He has provided legal counsel to debtors under every chapter of the bankruptcy code, including Chapter 9 (reserved for debtors who are governmental entities). Today, Paul primarily represents debtors in Chapter 7 liquidation cases, Chapter 13 adjustment cases and Chapter 11 reorganization or liquidation cases. He also provides financial counseling for Utah consumers and businesses to better help them avoid bankruptcy.

Matthew Broadbent, Utah Managing Attorney
Matt is an experienced bankruptcy attorney and litigator and brings a unique talent to providing debt relief solutions for his clients. Although he fights hard for his Chapter 7, Chapter 13, and Chapter 11 clients to get the fresh start they deserve, he strives to make the bankruptcy process painless for every client. Matthew earned his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law, and his B.A. from Utah State University and has been practicing law since 2003. He has been recognized by the Nebraska Office of Dispute Resolution for theory and practice of conflict resolution techniques.

Kathy Van Sleen, Firm Administrator
Kathy has extensive legal, financial, real estate and business expertise and is passionate about finding solutions to complex problems. As a CFO she prepared venture-back companies for public offerings. As a turnaround consultant, she worked with public and private business debtors to develop restructuring plans in and out of bankruptcy and now supports individual and business clients in Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 cases. Kathy is a licensed real estate broker with expertise in commercial and residential sales and management. Kathy also has experience with debt restructuring and collection. Kathy earned a BSIS from George Mason University, an MA from Alliant University, and an MBA from Marymount University. She was previously Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration for Diversa (NASDAQ: DVSA), a biotechnology company, and positioned the company for their $200 million IPO. Kathy also served as Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and Compensation Committee for Somanta Pharmaceuticals.
